Øyvind Kirkhus

Meet Øyvind, a young Norwegian snowboarder known for his advanced bag of tricks. Born in Oslo, Øyvind grew up training at Tryvann Winterpark and joined the national team in 2022. His talent in skateboarding has also been a major factor in his snowboarding success.

Øyvind won the junior halfpipe at the 2018 Norwegian Championships and competed in the 2019 Winter EYOF and Junior World Championships. Now, he has his sights set on the 2026 Olympic Games in Italy. In 2024, he was invited to ride at the Swatch Nines and seized the opportunity to catch some airtime in Switzerland. We are stoked to have Øyvind on the team and support him on his journey to reach his goals.

What is on Øyvind’s gear list?

Øyvind is currently riding with our Looper Mips Helmet.

It might look basic, but the Looper packs a lot of power with its in-molded Impact Shields, extensive venting and audio-ready removable ear pads. The Looper offer a perfect goggle fit with integrated goggle vents to keep your goggles fog free - even if you prefer goggles over or under the helmet. This model is equipped with Mips, a technology that reduces rotational forces on the brain.
